Thicker DTF Film: More Stability, Less Flexibility Explained
Thicker DTF film improves feeding stability, reduces wrinkling, and lowers misregistration risk, but it also stiffens the cured transfer, reducing drape and increasing crack risk on stretch fabrics. Standard film ranges from 75 to 120 microns. Matching thickness to fabric type and production volume, rather than defaulting to one film weight, delivers the best balance of stability and flexibility.
